The name ‘Darryl Lovegrove’ is synonymous with entrepreneurialism, innovation and quality entertainment. He and his former business partner has revolutionized corporate entertainment around the world when they created the operatic sensation “The Three Waiters”- a simple operatic entertainment concept performed to millions and has become the most-booked corporate act in the world. To date, it has been performed in over 10,000 shows in over 80 countries with over 70 opera singers.
The Three Waiters was the recipient of several American entertainment awards including “Entertainer of the Year” Spotlight Award in 2002 and 2006 in addition to a “Best Performing Artist Award” in 2006. In Bath, England 2003 The Three Waiters performed for The Three Tenors and received a standing ovation. In 2009, he and his former business partner sold their financial interest in The Three Waiters and established offices in Sydney, London and New York.
An accomplished musical theatre performer, Darryl was a member of the original Australian casts of Les Miserables and Chess. He is best known for his portrayal of Jesus in the Australian and New Zealand tours of Jesus Christ Superstar as well as playing John Lennon in Looking through a Glass Onion.
In 2009 Darryl formed his own company “Lovegrove Entertainment” which represents corporate entertainment acts The Leading Men, Jersey to Motown and the Australian Event Award 2012 ‘Entertainer of the Year’ Darryl and Harmony. He has appeared in the Lennon-McCartney inspired Australasian tour of ‘Let it be’ as well as in Australian composer Gavin Lockley’s ‘Ballads of the Bush’ at the Sydney Opera House.
Darryl has been voted two years running in Spice Magazine’s ‘Top 5 speakers/performers’ and is now one of the most in demand speakers and MC’s in Australia.
