Facebook has a pretty extensive privacy policy. If you’re not ready to dive into their substantial settings menu, there’s a more user-friendly guide available. By clicking the padlock symbol in the upper right of any Facebook page that you are logged into, you will get a drop down window presenting you with walkthroughs of your current settings. If you are unsure of a certain policy, search through Facebook’s official help pages.
