To tell a great story, start off by using a hook. By hook, I mean an attention-getter or a question or quote that immediately hooks your audience. Next, you need to tell the story in chronological order. You also need “bait” to keep your audience engaged. What do I mean by bait? Bait is a series of questions you, the storyteller, raise and don’t necessarily answer till the end. Last but not least, take time to reflect on the story and help the audience understand what we’re supposed to get from the story.
