How to build on the skills of my staff?

Here are four tips to help develop the skills of your staff:

1. Ask your staff what they want to know more about and provide internal or external training accordingly.
2. Consider having staff members share their knowledge by training others.
3. Have senior staff share their knowledge by mentoring juniors.
4. Consider outsourcing training if there are gaps remaining and if you can’t fill the skill gaps in house.
